Azad Estate Agents

CEO and founder

Ali answers his own phone.

He started Azad Estate Agents and he still does the work himself: walking the homes, filming them, taking the calls that come in afterwards. The agency number is his number.

Most of Ali’s week happens standing up. He walks a home before he lists it, films the walk-through on his phone the same day, and answers the messages that land underneath it. The videos are not polished for a reason: they are shot between appointments, and there is nobody to hand the editing to.

A lot of what he sells is house and land, which behaves differently from buying something that already exists. There are two contracts instead of one, a build that has not started, and a price that is fixed only in the parts that say so. Ali goes through which parts those are with you, line by line, in Hazargi, English or Urdu.

He will also tell you when the answer is no. If your borrowing does not reach the house you have fallen for, you hear that early rather than late, and he would rather lose the sale than watch a family stretch into a mortgage that keeps them awake. Grants and duty concessions are the same: they are real, the numbers move, and he checks the current ones with you on the day instead of quoting you something from memory.

I would rather lose a sale on a Tuesday than take a call in three years from a family who cannot hold the house.

Ring the number, get Ali.

Say what you are looking at and what is bothering you about it. He is often standing in somebody else’s kitchen, so if it rings out, leave a message with the address and he will come back to you.
