Somerville Road tells you most of it
The road runs through the middle of the suburb and everything sorts itself either side of it. Older houses on generous allotments, then newer courtyard homes filling the gaps behind them. The places people ring us about most are the ones with land to spare, and usually the question is what could go on the block rather than what is standing on it now.
Here’s the thing we say early. Hampton Park doesn’t have a train station of its own. You drive to one. Families here already know which one and what time to leave, and if that matters to you it’s better learned now than after you’ve fallen for a kitchen.
Which Hampton Park do you mean?
They are three different places to live in, whatever the map says.
The shopping strip side
Closest to the shops and the buses, and the easiest part of Hampton Park to live in without a second car. Mostly older homes, a lot of them renovated once and due again.
The bigger blocks
Room for a shed and a proper back yard. Some of these blocks have room to build on and some do not, whatever the neighbours reckon, and that is a question for the council rather than for us. Get the answer in writing before you fall in love with the idea.
The new releases
Small brand-new packages slipped in behind established streets, usually sold as one price for the land and the build together. Because they’re new, first-home concessions can come into it. Those rules move, so we sit down and check what’s current with you rather than print a figure here.

Do you have homes here right now?
Often, yes. Whatever we have available shows on the homes page, and it changes week to week. If none of it suits, tell us what you’re after and we’ll call you when something lands.
Is it a good suburb for a first home?
That depends on your deposit, what you can borrow, and how much work you want to take on yourself. It isn’t a question a web page can answer honestly. Half an hour at a table with your real numbers and you’ll get a straight answer.
Can we do this in Hazargi or Urdu?
Yes. Between the two of us it’s Hazargi, English and Urdu, and the contract gets read out loud in whichever one you think in. Bring your parents. They usually have the better questions.
What about the older houses on big blocks?
They’re part of why we work here. Some are a home you move into and slowly improve. Some are really a land purchase with a house standing on it. Those are very different buys, and you should know which kind you’re standing in.
