Most people manage in English all week. You order the coffee, you talk to the school, you fill in the form at the clinic and nothing goes wrong. Then somebody slides a contract across the table and the words go somewhere else. That isn’t a language problem. It’s a legal document in a second language, which is a different thing entirely.
So we do it in the one you grew up in. Not a translation app on speaker, not a nephew who happens to be free on Saturday. One of us, sitting there, who also knows what the clause actually means.
